I consider every endeavour that improves the situation of the Romas vitally important, especially the question of language. How can two value systems understand each other? How can we, who speak the same language, understand each other? The Manush Foundation begins with what is of the essence – children and language. Hungarian society has not yet understood that it is in its own interest to confront these issues, to think about them, and to spring into action. And, need we add, all this within a European context. I recommend this project wholeheartedly. „Nur wer sprechen kann, kann hoffen” – only where speech is possible is hope possible.
